At the start of an experiment, there are a bacteria in a colony. after b hours there are c bacteria. determine the population d hours after the start of the experiment

hmm it seems like c-start population/b=x-start pop/d and solve for x to get the population, Just plug in fake numbers and it works out.
say after 3 hrs(b) your population is 4 million, then after 6 hrs(d) what is the population. Say the start is one million. Then x would be 7 million

the population of bacteria before the experiment began= population after the experiment – (population at the begining of experiment + time)
