I need help with this Science Lab Report. For people who are good at Science, please help me!?

So, the lab is about different kinds of soap and how effective they are at killing bacteria. I have 5 different types of soaps, and I have to search up the active ingredients and make a hypothesis on which soap will be the most effective. Here are the 5 soaps and their active ingredients:

Soap 1- water, Lauric Acid

Soap 2- water, sodium, laureth sulfate

Soap 3- Tridosan, water

Soap 4- Tridosan , water

Soap 5- Tridosan, water

Can someone please help me?

It’s due tomrrow!! Best answer gets 10 points!

P.S.- I tried searching up the ingredients, and I can’t find any good answers.

You have 5 examples of soap but only three different ingredient samples (soaps 3, 4, and 5 are identical)

In your experiment what is meant by EFFECTIVE?

(how could you measure the killing?)

What kind of bacteria will you use?

How can you be sure that each soap was tested in an equal way?

Science experiments are really just a series of questions that are asked. By performing observations and experiments we then find the answer.

I don’t know about Tridosan so #’s 3,4 & 5 are out for me. Soap #2 has sodium which reacts violently with water. However, #1’s Lauric Acid is a great cleanser.

Hope this helps…
