i need help with these math problems?
4^2+2*7-(5.4-15)
=35?
put in correct order=4,-10,0,9,-6,-1,1
simplify.
-(-(-23))
Favorite Answer
so, first, simplify.
4^2 = 4 raised to the second power=4 times 4 = 16
2*7 = two times seven = 14
5(4) = five times four = 20
so, put it back in the equation…
4^2 +2*7 -(5(4)-15)
will become:
16 + 14 – (20 – 15)
simplify the one enclosed in the parenthesis…
16 + 14 – 5
30 – 5
25
so, 25 is the answer in your first question.
PUT IN CORRECT ORDER:
ascending order(least to greatest): -10, -6, -1, 0, 1, 4, 9
descending order(greatest to least): 9, 4, 1, 0, -1, -6, -10
SIMPLIFY: -(-(-23))
multiply first the inner one.
-(-23) negative times negative is positive
-(23)negative times positive is negative
so… the result will be -23.
-10, -6, -1, 0,1,4,9
The third is three negatives so it is still negative.
-1 is negative
– (-1) is positive
-(-(-1) is negative again
