2) By “from” I think you mean subtraction? If so, you’d first have to give both numbers the same denominator to be able to subtract them. 57 = 285/5, and 32 3/5 multiplies out to be 163/5. So, (285-163)/5 = 122/5, or 24 2/5.
First multiply 4/3 times 5/4.
4 times 5 (20), over 3 times 4 (12).
Reduce that to 5/3.
5/6 divided by 5/3=2.
For 2.): 57-32 3/5 is easy.
Subtract 32 3/5 from56 5/5. (24 2/5)
Then, 5/6 divided by 5/3 is actually 6/5 X 5/3, because when you flip the FIRST FRACTION ONLY then it turns into a multiplication problem. (6 X 5) over (5 X 3) is 30/15, which reduces to 2.
THE ANSWER IS 2.
2) What do you mean? Please post additional details and I’d be glad to show you how!
To show work, explain how this answer was gotten. Good luck, if you need more help with math problems, email me! I’d be glad to.
P.S. Copying is okay as long as you really understand how you got the answer & the different steps. That’s what my teacher says. 🙂
4/3 X 5/4= (cancel out the 4’s)=5/3 or 1 2/3
Now divide: 5/6 divided by 1 2/3= 5/6 divided by 5/3=
5/6 X3/5 =(cancel out the 3 and 6 and the 5’s)= 1/2
2. Simply change the whole number 57 to 56 5/5 (since 5/5=1, and 56 +1=57) and subtract:
56 5/5
– 32 3/5
_______
24 2/5
5/6 divided by 5/3 is the same as 5/6 x 3/5 Fives cancel, and you are left with 3/6 or 1/2.
2) 56 5/5 – 32 3/5= 24 2/5
