#3 – As Dickens introduces you to different characters, use your own words to describe them in today’s terms.
#5 – When you see situations in the book that you can relate to based on your own life, make a note!
This process should be one of note-taking, and hopefully you have your own copy of the book so you can highlight, star, write in the margins, and put sticky notes all over the place.
Believe it or not, this will be a really fun and rewarding experience. The deeper you get into the characters and the book, the more you will grow in life’s wisdom and appreciate Dickens’ writing.
I know you can do it! Best wishes to you!
