However, now that you have posted the question and are seeking answers, you may have left a trail. No one is truly anonymous and chances that you could be caught are still there if people know where to look.

With that being said, I would say if you want a prank, leave it as a PRANK. Sometimes pranks go to far and it can lead to charges being pressed for criminal damage, mischief, and more severe crimes. It could lead to a criminal record, restitution, community service, and fines. If you are 18 or older, it could damage your permanent record. If you are a minor, the police, prosecuting attorney, judge, etc. may also impose fines upon your parents.

I’ve seen quite a handful unsuspecting pranks as a student, AND as a teacher of 12 years. I will also tell you that I was subpoenaed by the district attorney because a senior prank got out of hand, and I had to testify. Apparently my name came up because a group of 3-4 students had been discussing plans in my classroom. Fortunately, these kids stepped up to the plate and took responsibility for their actions. They were all slapped with community service hours, fines, restitution, etc. The 2 students that were 18 had a misdemeanor on their permanent record and probation. Nothing happened to me, but I did learn a lesson between a prank and criminal damage/mischief!

At our school, some senior glued toothpicks into all the locks of the doors in one building (he thought it would be funny at that time if none of the teachers could open their doors). It wasn’t so funny when he had to pay about $200 for each lock (and there quite a few).

If you decide on one, make sure it can be cleaned up. That doesn’t mean it has to be easily cleaned up. One of my friends actually thought of a great one. At first it sounds lame – he filled [there must have been hundreds, but he had a lot of helpers] dixie cups with some kind of liquid (it was very sticky) and put them alllll over the stairs of one building. Many students couldn’t get to class (none got in trouble) and it took the teachers and janitors at least 3 hours to clean all the cups.

The lamest prank I’ve seen ever was during my freshman year: all the seniors decided to park in the junior parking lot. What a dumb move, so all the juniors got to park in the seniors lot (which has more lots and is closer to class).

put caution tape all around the school n print out a notice saying school is cancelled!
