I’ll run you through the first one, youshould be able to do the rest from there.

You need to get the letter on its own.

you need to do the same to one side as to the other (ie. if you add something to one side, you need to add it to the other.)

To get rid of something from the letter’s side, you need to do the opposite.

In example ’28’

15b = 5

b is being multiplied by 15 so to get it on it’s own you need to divide by 15. (15/ 15 = 1)

15b / 15 = 5/15

b = 1/3

when working with negative numbers, just times or divide by the negative number, don’t forget about it.

ok, this is Algrebra, right?

#28 15b = 5

Find what 15 can be multiplied by to make 5.

5 is 1/3 of 15. Find the decimal for 1/3.

You will have to round the last place up or down to get a closer result.

#30 -4m = -16

Find what -4 can be multiplied by to make -4

remember the rules with negatives.

A negative number multiplied by a negative number makes the result posative.

A negative number multiplied by a posative number makes the result negative.

#32 330 = -15p

Find what -15 is multiplied by to make 330

remember the rules with negatives.

A negative number multiplied by a negative number makes the result posative.

A negative number multiplied by a posative number makes the result negative.

#36 -x = 4

You need to find x, correct? You have the answer here, all you should have to do is reverse the signs.

#40 3/4z = -5(1/2)

Remember your order of operations.

Follow the order of operations to break down the -5(1/2) side of the equasion.

From there, use the same process as the others.
