How would you write the following text as an algebraic expression?

5 times the difference of q squared and r plus 8 times the sum of 3q and 2r

I know the question may sound stupid, but I’m a bit confused.

All answers are appreciated though!

5(q2-r) + 8(3q+2r)

the 2 after the q is a power so make sure it is superscript
