Go to your local grocery store and buy:
“Sta-Flo” – concentrated liquid starch.
Wash the piece or pieces in warm water.
Use the “Sta-Flo” liquid starch INSTEAD of fabric softener. Follow the instruction on the label. The liquid starch will help to make cotton pieces easy to iron.
**Do NOT put any fabric softener, it will counteract the liquid starch.
Dry in permanent press cycle.
Iron with a steam iron.

Wash in cold water to help with shrinking.
Dry on low/cool setting, or hang dry.
I always dry iron unless it is a heavy fabric.
