if you are measuring

area of a trapezoid

formula h(b1 + b2)x 1/2

example

3(2 + 4)x 1/2

3(6)1/2

18 x 1/2

Measure the base of your trapezoid (b1); then measure the top of your trapezoid (b2); then measure the heighth of your trapezoid (h); enter them in spaces provided; then click on the “Calculate” button:

Ok…imagine your trapezoid like so:

/____\ | h

b1=small base

b2=large base

h=height

You want (h*b1) + 1/2h(b2-b1)
