It takes points off for typos, errors in punctuation, etc. Because then you have to go back and correct them – but after you type a space in this test, it won’t let you go back and edit. So don’t freak out whenever your backpace button isn’t working. :]

My WPM is a little over 60…About a word per second. Different people, who’ve been exposed to the internet in different ways have different WPM’s though. So if you end up having a score more like 20, it’s ok. Just practice your typing!
