First of all, use a dictionary so you do not spell the words wrong. It is ‘resume’, not ‘reseme’

Clairbea, it really depends on the job. Normally you just put your name, address and the last grade you competed in school or college.

Next and this is the amin thing the employer wants to know what ou know and what you have done. How much experience you have. So youcan just list all the jobs you have had starting with the latest.

If you have been on jobs for a long time then I suggest you put the dates on the left, such as

1/2001-5/2005 Joe Blows Diamond Store

Appraised and sold diamonds,

top sales person, also cut and

smuggled them in.

You do this if you have been on the job for a good while as the person hiring you will want to know if you will stay with them before they train you and invest in you..Also they will want to know why you left. So get ready. If the boss ws a jerk smooth it over and state you are looking for something better.

If you only had parttime and ae were not there long then you could do it this wayand gloss over it

Merrill Lunch

Duties included buying and sells of stocks, also handling million of clients money and investment protfolios. expertise was in flyng offshore and opening up offshore accounts so clients could rip off the IRS.Obtain series five license while there.

Just try it that way. A ton of people put a sentence or two at the top after the name and stuff which states there goals. ONes I read a hokey, you know like” I want to be a valuable asset and work harder than anyone for the company I go to work for”. I much prefer the truth, like “I need a good job with benefits that will put fod on the table andif it’s good enough don’t worry about me leaving”.

Kidding there, but what I always look for is experience and how much time I will have to put into the person, if they dn’t know the business I want someone that will do what it takes to catch and learn the business. In other words hard work. Unfortunately today I here more people just asking for somenoe with ethics to work.

They may want your references so make sure they are good. Could be a friend, exboss, preacher, etc.

Go get them. You wil find a million on the net. Look at it as if you were in their place and why hire you. Some folks put a cover letter with it. It an old boss or reference will write a letter for you to include then take or send that by all means.

i still have aletter from an owner 20 years ago that starts out “Our loss can be your gain” hire me. Put that letter in with the resume.

When you meet with the person don’t cowtow too much and be nice, but assertive, most hate abrown noser. Treat them as you would a freind, you never know they may end up being one.

Hope you have success in life

Did you mean a resume? summary of an individual’s career experience and education. When a resume is sent to prospective agents or publishers, it should contain the author’s vital publishing credits, specialty credentials, and pertinent personal experience.

It is spelled resume….

Your word processing program should have a template for you to go off of…

Include:

A heading with your name, phone #, email, and address

Objective (ex: To obtain a position with a growing retail firm….)

Job Experience

Education (High school and college only)

Hobbies/Skills

First of all, be sure you spell it correctly. It’s RESUME. Spelling errors and grammar errors can kill the best of resumes. Believe me, I have been involved in selecting people for job interviews at my job.

Name, address, phone # ont top…centered. List schooling 1st. Use bold but not caps for headings…make ZERO mistakes…only list personal references if asked for them. Keep one page and to the point. Don’t forget objective after heading…also keep short and to the point.
