how do you use the distributive property to multiply 2 whole numbers?

like 22 x 85

Take 22 and multiply by 80 (multiply 8 then add a zero) and then by 5: 22(80) + 22(5) = 1760 + 110 = 1870

Or you could round 22 to 20 to make it easier!

for this you jus multiply them. you onli use the distributive property wen u have something like 2(22 x 85) and dats wen u multiply 2 wif 22 n 2 wif 85 and multiply ur answers to giv u ur final answer

i think you just multiply them…..which equals 1870

you can only use distributive property in operations like….

2(4-5x)=40

you then would DISTRIBUTE the 2 to the 4…then the 2 to the -5x=

[2(4)]-[5x(2)]

whicfh would then end up to be….

8-10x=40
