6th grade science?

Okay we are learning about the atmosphere and it is saying only- Percent by Volume and I missed a week of school and I don’t know what they are talking about because here is the titles of both boxes; Gases in Dry Air and then Percent by Volume…

I am stuck can someone PLEASE help me?!?!?!?!?!

The air we breathe is a combination of several gases. Nitrogen and oxygen are the main ones, then there are several other gases in lower concentrations.

Percent by Volume. Also called volume percent or percent by volume, this is typically only used for mixtures of liquids. Percent by volume is simply the volume of the solute divided by the sum of the volumes of the other components multiplied by 100%:

If you don’t understand the material, try looking at the index in the back of you Science textbook. Or you could possibly try asking your science teacher to help you out. As for the titles that you said, are they on your work sheet? Is it in your textbook? Give us some more information. Good Luck!!!!
