how do you sove this problem 2/2+7+4+4+2=18?

please i really need help this is evaulate the expresstion what are the steps in doing this problem im a lil stuck on the fraction. i know the answer only cuz of the answer key but i need to know how to get it myself . also this is algebra 1

okay, 2/2 equals one because you have 2 of 2 parts.

Anytime you have the same number over the same number

it will always equal 1. So you change the 2/2 to 1 and then add the 7 , 4, 4, 2 all together and you get 18

In solving equations, there is a hierachy to be observed. You have to solve the multiplications and divisions first before you solve the addtions and subtractions:

(2/2)+(7)+(4)+(4)+(2)=18

since you have to solve the divison first (2/2)=1:

the equation now becomes: 1+7+4+4+2=18

1+7+4+4+2=18
