How do you sketch graphs?

I haven’t the slightest idea.

the question is y = x^2 – 2x and i have to sketch it somehow without using a table of values.

I need a method of how to do it.

This is in standard for which is:

y = ax^2 + bx + c

The vertex is (0,0).

If a is positive then the parabola opens upward.

If a is negative the parabola opens downward.

So draw a curve opening upward and starting at (0,0).
