Well advertising is a good example. The advertiser ‘tricks’ the consumers into thinking something which is probably not true. It works because people tend to assume lots of things. Like “the longest lasting in the market” may not mean that it will last very long. It simply means that of all the products in the market, that product will last the longest. This is kind of confusing but I hope you get what I mean.
