Use the rules of exponents to simplify the expression n2/n3

To divide powers the same base subtract the denominator’s exponent from the numerators exponent n2-n3

subtract 3 from 2

1/n

answer= 1/n

If you think of what it means to be raised to a power, it’s multiplying the base by itself that many times. So therefore, n^2/n^3 is really (n*n)/(n*n*n) . From there it’s really just a matter of reducing. The two n’s in the numerator (top) cancel out two of the three n’s in the denominator (bottom) leaving you with 1/n
