Favorite Answer

1) substitute 125 for f so 125-32=9/5c

2) subtract and you get 93=9/5c

3) this is kind of tricky. you want to get c alone so you divide out 9/5 to cancel. so you get 93/ 9/5 in actuality when doing this you multiply by recipricol so 93 times 5/9 and you get 456/9

4) simplify and you get 51. 6 repeating

5) c = 51.7 (rounded)

hope it helped!

125-32=9/5c

93=9/5c

93×5=9c

465=9c

465/9=c

51.66666=c

51 2/3 degrees Celsius

the actual equation is

Fahrenheit=(9/5)TC + 32

(TC=temp celsius)

so

if temp fahrenheit is 125, then to find temp celsius the equation would be

125=(9/5)TC + 32…or (125-32)=(9/5)TC…..then

(125-32)(5/9) = TC

or

TC = 93(5/9) or 91*.555555555556 or

TC = 51.6666666666666667 degrees celsius

Come on, you can do this…

f – 32 = (9/5) c = 1.8c

so c = (f – 32) / 1.8

c = (125 – 32) / 1.8

c = 93 / 1.8 = 51.666
