I have to write a current State of the Union address for my Global Studies class, how would I go about doing so? I’m only in 10th grade- so I need a little help! Where are good sites to research, and what information do I want to inlcude? It’s due October 8th, so I need info FAST!

Get a few copies of some major newspapers, such as the New York Times and the Washington Post, or Time magazine. Read the editorials, the letters to the editor, the headlines, and the lead stories. This will give you an idea of the key issues facing the United States today.

Decide what your position would be on these issues if you were President. Convince your fellow Americans that your policies are the best solutions to these problems. Inspire them to folllow your lead. Do this by appealing to their pride, patriotism, principles, or pocketbook (economics).
