How do I know to use a bar graph instead of a line graph?
I’m learning about independant and dependant variables in Science. I don’t remember when to use a bar graph and when to use a line graph. Does anyone know?

A line graph is better for showing trends and patterns.
A bar graph is better for comparing periods – say February with September, because on a line graph a point can be missed in traversing the graph.
