-Reward yourself when you finish.

-Avoid distractions such as TV, games, the internet, etc.

-Create a space for yourself with everything you might need to help you do your work — a desk and comfortable chair, computer, reference books, pens, pencils, etc.

-Make the space comfortable enough to be pleasant, but not so comfortable that you fall asleep.

– Some people study well when other people are around them; others need to be alone. Only you can decide which works best for you.

-Keep a calendar of when assignments are due — so you can work on them a little at a time instead of trying to cram or write a huge paper at the last minute.

I repeated the last bit because when you are looking at hours and hours of work to be done in one night, it is psychologically painful. (Yes, I speak from experience on this one.) It’s a lot easier to do work a little at a time and keep up on it, than try to do tons at the last minute.
