How to change a sink faucet

1 Turn off the water supply .If you do not have water valves there, you must turn off the water at the main water line

2 Completely remove the water lines that are running to the faucet by using the crescent wrench.

3 Use your pliers to remove the two plastic nuts underneath the sink that are holding the faucet on.

4 Remove the faucet and use the scraper to remove any residue on the sink area.

5 Roll the plumber’s putty into a long roll, about the diameter of a pencil

6 Place the putty on the sink in the shape of the new faucet.

7 Take the new faucet and place it on the putty and press down to seal the faucet on the sink.

8 Go underneath the sink and place the plastic nuts included with the new faucet to hold the faucet in place. Put the two new flexible water lines in place, being careful not to over-tighten (hand-tighten and 1/2 turn with the crescent wrench).

9 Remove the excess putty around faucet by lightly scraping it away with the scraper. Unscrew the aerator (the tip of the faucet), then open the hot and cold spigots.

10 Turn on the water at the source, either under sink or at the main, and let the water run to clear any debris out of the faucet. Turn off the spigots, and replace the aerator.

Oh, I had to do something like this last year. My teacher’s example was a paper airplane, and I wrote on designing a greeting card.

If these don’t interest you, just start brainstorming about things you enjoy doing and it should be easy to figure out something that correlates to that activity. (For example, someone skilled in soccer could make a brochure on some sort of foot technique)

No matter what you choose, be creative–which I’m sure you’ve heard, but it’s true–because these can actually be pretty fun.

I once had an assignment like this. The teacher’s favourite was a guy who did one on how to boil water. You can also do how to get dressed, how to drive, how to reboot your computer, how to break up with someone. If you don’t have enough steps remember to also include what not to do.
