home work help!!! best answer gets 10 points thanks?

I have a science experiment that i did and the water froze faster than the fruit juice my hypothesis was that the water would freeze faster becuse the sugar in the fruit juice would slow it down and i need to know why water freezes faster than fruit juice was my hypothesis right because the sugar help please best answerr gets 10 points!!!!

Your correct much the same way salt water freezes at a different temp then fresh. Salt water with a salinity of 35 ppt (parts per thousand), the average salinity of the open ocean, freezes at 28.5F. Now if you consider the juice in the same manner with its sugars and other components. It will freeze at a lower temp.

I’m pretty sure the sugar is why the fruit juice froze slower. It’s been a while since i was in science but I think it has to do with the molecules something like that. But almost positive your hypothesis is right 😉
