!!!V3r0!!!

hey i need help in math!!!!!?

it’s a math problem goes like this…the area of a triangle is 27 square feet. its height is three times the lenth of its base. Find the height and base of the triangle.

THANK U!!!! it might be easy for some of ya, but to me is like hell, i hate math, algebra and all that ****…..

A of triangle = 1/2 x H x B

so, if H = 3 B and A = 27 you can do:

A = 1/2 x H x B

27 = 1/2 x 3B x B

27 = 1/2 x 3B^2

multiply by 2

54 = 3B^2

divide by 3

18 = B^2

squareroot

B = rt 18 = 3 rt 2

since you already know that H = 3B

you can do:

H = 3( 3rt2)

H = 9rt2

set the problem into an equation using the area formula for a triangle. so A=1/2bh

so 27=1/2 *3x*x

then solve for x, so 27=3/2 x^2

multiply both sides by 2/3 (the same as dividing by 3/2)

so 18=x^2

then square root both sides. so that your base is 3 square root 2

multiply that by 3 for your height, so its 9 square root 2
