1.) From the x and y components given, find the direction and magnitude of the resultant.

a.) y = 31m.s^-1, x = 8m^-1

b.) x = 15m.s^2, y = 12m.s^2

2.) Find the x and y components of the following vectors:

a.) 240 km at 3300 degrees

b.) 20m.s^-1 at 900 degrees

Ry = b1 + b2

The magnitude || v || of vector v is given by

|| v || = sqrt(Rx + Ry)

and the direction of vector v is angle t in standard position and in couterclockwise direction such that
