How would I solve this problem? Its 1 third x 39 – 4 x 2. Also this is another one, (4+6)and its squared – 8 x .5

1/3 X 39 = 39 divided by 3 = 13

13 – 4 X 2 = 13 – 8 = 5

4+6 squared = 10 squared = 100

100 – 8 X 0.5 = 100 – 4 = 96

Unless you meant 5 instead of 0.5, because then it’s 60.

well i kind of couldn’t understand your problem. But i got the just of it. Just remember. Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally. Start by solving things in parentheses, then do exponents multiplication, division,addition and then subtraction last.

so for your second problem do this. (4+6)squared-8×5

4+6 equals 10

10×10 equals 100

then do 8×5 that equals 40

then subtract the two together

that gives you 60 as your

answer.

Now I’m not totally sure if i did this right. But i tried.
