help with essay about hobsons choice?
im studying this play from england called hobsons choice and have to write about how much i admire maggie.
Any ideas about how to start the essay????

I did this at school too!
Always best to start an essay by putting things into context – so give Maggie and intro – 30, living with dad and sis, she’s really the head of the house but her dad likes to think he is (we know this from how the business goes under when she leaves and the state he father falls in)
Then you can start with the first scene – where Maggie comes in and is obviously looked up to by her sisters and her firmness with Albert when she makes him buy shoes even though she well knows he is only there to see her sister (Alice?)
