If it talks about the fronts of the war, in the beginning it was in the north and middle atlantic colonies and would progress into the south as the war drew on. Heads of state for Great Britain would be King George III and the Prime Minister, as these figures were extremely important. It may be necessary to mention that General Gage, Admiral Howe, and General Howe were three important commanders for the British, and that Washington, Greene, among others were their equivalents. As for the head of the government, at that time it was the President of the Continental Congress, who I believe was John Hancock, but dont quote me on that, you may want to verify me. Other prominent figures in our preliminary mess of a government included Sam and John Adams, Ben Franklin, among other equally important persons.
