your wording isnt clear at all… by sections, they could mean what the previous responses believe, or the two sides going at each other, and that would therefore be obvious. If it talks about the fronts of the war, in the beginning it was in the north and middle atlantic colonies and would progress into the south as the war drew on. Heads of state for Great Britain would be King George III and the Prime Minister, as these figures were extremely important. It may be necessary to mention that General Gage, Admiral Howe, and General Howe were three important commanders for the British, and that Washington, Greene, among others were their equivalents. As for the head of the government, at that time it was the President of the Continental Congress, who I believe was John Hancock, but dont quote me on that, you may want to verify me. Other prominent figures in our preliminary mess of a government included Sam and John Adams, Ben Franklin, among other equally important persons.

Causes of the Revolution: Colonial unrest over taxes that were imposed on them that would defer the costs of Britons (in terms of taxing) in the motherland. They believed that they should be entitled to representation in Parliament so that they would have a voice, instead of having Britons concerned with only their affairs at home speaking for them, 3000 miles across the Atlantic in a world much different than theirs. Other causes include British force (that was sometimes excessive), the final pre-war demand of the British for the Americans to revoke the Declaration of Independence. The length of war can be attributed to the American’s willingness to fight and the fact that they had a “home field advantage” when it came to fighting in the woods (Americans invented guerilla tactics in the Am. Revolution – since hit and run was the only method they could win. Washington knew that if he left his troops on the battlefield too long the army would be crushed in no time, so he would fire a couple volleys at the Brits and run away.) Thats a really quick synopsis of some stuff… Good luck.

I think by “sections” they mean state militias. Try this. Hopefully, it will help.
