It is probably written wrong. In order to have points of intersection you must be able to plot both equations on the xy axis. There is no y in the first equation.
Perhaps the first equation is x^2-4x+4 = -y
Then adding the two equations together give you
x^2-3x+2 = 0= (x-2)(x-1) = 0 or x= 1 and x=2.
Then substitution in the equation y = x-2 give you the intercepts 1,-1 and 2,0

To solve x^2-4x+4=-4
you would use the graph y = x^2 – 4x + 8, as that is the function which when equated to zero is equivalent to the given equation.
x – y = 2 is equivalent to:
y = x – 2
Equating the two values of y to find the intersection:
x^2 – 4x + 8 = x – 2
x^2 – 5x + 10 = 0
The discriminant of x^2 – 5x + 10 is 5^2 – 40 = -15.
The equation has no real roots, and the two graphs do not therefore intersect.
