A man swims 50metres in the direction of 45 degrees,then 60metres in the direction 145 degrees.How far is he from the starting point?

To make it easy deduct 45 degrees from each.
1. x = 50 + 60cos100 (= 50 – 10sin10) = 39.5811
2. y = 60sin100 (= 60 cos10) = 59.0885
3. d = (39.5811^2 +59.0885^2)^0.5 = 71.1204 meters
