Help me answer this… x^1/2 = 10. Please!?
^ stands for exponent
so some number with the exponent 1/2 = 10
please explain how to do
its a bonous question
and if i get the right answer or closets to the right answer i get a soda from my math teacher on thursday

It’s quite simple actually, as in any algebra problem just transfer everything to the other side to resolve it:
x^1/2 = 10
x = 10^ 2/1
get rid of the one and you have x = 10 ^2 (10 square)
so…
x = 100

Let’s see…x^1/2 is the same as the square root of x. So you have the square root of x equals 10. Just square both sides, and you get x=100. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong!

Multiply both sides by ^2. It should look like this:
x = 10^2
Now, 10^2 you should know. 😛
x = 100
