That is a really hard task you have been set because for all of them there are already images out there. That doesn’t help you focus on your own ideas does it? Is it hard seeing past the images that you know?

I’d choose the most obscure book and design one big simple image for the cover/poster like the covers of the phillip Pullman His Dark Materials books. A symbol can be more powerful than a complicated illustation. Leave as little white in the final piece as possible.

Make sure you use bold and simple lettering for the title. Keep it all big and fill the page for the most powerful impact. To promote something you need to grab people’s attention.

I’d rather do a project like this where I could make up my own title.

1. The Vampire Lestat – it’s my favorite novel and I was upset when they skipped from Interview with the Vampire to The Queen of the Damned. 2. The Hunger Games Trilogy – I would be ecstatic if there was a movie adaptation. I love the concepts and characters in these books. 3. Neon Genesis Evangelion – I would love to see this in movie form, not exactly “American” movie form, but I would be really excited if they made a live-action movie.
