Help fast! What is the “tone” of an article or essay??

I’m writing an IM (Inquiry Method) and I have to tell what the “tone” of the article I read is. It is “opinions and societal pressure” by Solomon Asch. Can anyone help??! Even if you can’t tell me what it is for that article, if you could just help me out with what exactly “tone” is…

Tone is the mood or feeling of a literary work.

Tone may be formal, informal, intimate, solemn, somber, playful, serious, ironic, condescending, or many other possible attitudes.

The tone of a piece of work can be found in many ways. Without tone, a piece of literature would have no emotion, and therefore be very boring.

Tone is the mood you set up in your piece. you cn create this tone by using dialogue, incorporating voice, and/ or using highly descriptie words.

Hope this helps

I think it is the writer’s voice, angry, sad, up beat etc. But don’t quote me on that.
