hello! i just want to ask what would be the best topic for a seminar related to nursing??? i need ur help guys
i am a graduating NURSING student here in the philippines and part of my requisites for graduation is to conduct a seminar for my fellow students. i just want to ask what would be the best topic for a seminar that is timely and nursing-related… thanks!

I think Care & Compassion would be a great topic. Nowadays, everyone is so busy, you always here complaints from patients that sound just like this “The nurse came in and never even mad eye contact with me, took my vitals, and left while telling me on her (or his) way out that the doctor would be right in. Then of course, the doctor came in, didnt ask me if I had any questions or anything that I wanted to talk about. Then I got my 500 dollar bill”
After being in a waiting room for 30 minutes to sometimes over an hour, a caring and compassionate nurse would make up for everything. We understand that doc’s are busy (not that I am saying nurses aren’t) but docs are the ones we are really paying for, so we expect them to busy busy busy. Nurses, on the other hand, have the opportunity to create a pleasant visit for a patient. My nurse at my old doc’s office before I moved was WONDERFUL. Her name was Rosie and she was absolutely great!! We need more nurses to show they care about the patients.

I have been a nurse for 17 years, how about something related to the nursing shortage. There are some people who say that there is a nursing shortage, I say there is not a shortage of nurses, but nurses are taking on too many non-nursing responsibilities. If you take some of those responsibilities away from nurses, then you will have more nurses in nursing. And they will actually being doing what they trained to do, patient care. Some of the examples are chart audits, housekeeping, firefighter, and safety officers.
