1. when is a triangle right?

2.when is a triangle obtuse?

3. when is a triangle acute?

please help me answer these questions. does it have any other answers except from, “when it’s angle measures 90 degrees, less than 90 degrees and greater than 90 degrees?” please help

No,there is no other information that can be derived from those statements. Although, a more precise way of saying is:

1. One angle is equal to exactly 90 degrees, and the other two are each less than 90 degrees (and, in fact, total 90 degrees)

2. One angle is greater than 90 degrees, and the other two are less than 90 degrees.

3. All three angles are less than 90 degrees.

No informtion can be determined about the sides without more details.

YOur information is correct about how to determine the type of triangles. You can now take this information and work with the forumula for the sides.

A right triangle is determined to be found if the formua here is used.

The square of the hypoteneuse is equal to the sums of the square of the other two sides.

So, given the three measurements, and fitting them into the formula known, you can find a RIGHT triangle. Square the measurements of the three sides and see if the sum of two of them are equal to the third. If so, you have a right triangle.

Now, if the sums of the two shortest are LARGER than the square of the longer, then you have an ACUTE triangle.

If the sum of the two are SMALLER than the square of the third, then you have an OBTUSE triangle.

Acute – all angles measure less than 90º.

Right – one angle measures exactly 90º.

Obtuse – one angle measures more than 90º

Equiangular – all angles measure the same. (60º)

This is the same as the equilateral triangle.
