And what exactly are a, b and c?

Sides? if yes, then which one is base? which one is altitude? and which one is hypotenuse?

Pythagorean theorm: a^2 + b^2 = c^2

a^2 +16= 121

121-16=105

square root of 105= 10.257

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

a^2 + (4)^2 =(11)^2

a^2 + 16 = 121

a^2 = 105

a = √105

a = 10.247

In these types of problems, 99.99% of the time, “a” and “b” are “sides” and “c” is the hypotenuse.

Need more info as someone has recently asked. If “a” is the hypotenuse, then a = 11.705, otherwise it is as others have stated.
