90-4t=1/4(180-t) first thing to do is the mutiplicaton so

90-4t = ([180/4] – [t/4]) simplified

90-4t=45 – (t/4) now get rid of the denomanator by multipling both sides of the equation by 4

4 (90-4t) = (4)(45-(t/4)) that equals

360 – 16t = 180 – t Now isolate t to one side of the equation by adding 16t to both sides

16t + (360 – 16t) = 16t + (180 -t) or 360 = 15t + 180

or 180 = 15t now divide both sides by 15 to get the value of t

180/15 = 15t/15 or 12=t

Hope that helps you out

i dont know if this is right but here is my best guess:

distribute the 1/4 so it will be 90-4t=45-1/4t

then -45 on both sides so its 45-4t=-1/4t

then add 4t to both sidews so its 45=3.75t

and then divide 45 by 3.75 so t=12

90 – 4t=180/4 – 1/4 t

90- 45=4t – 1/4 t

45=3 3/4 t

45 / 3 3/4 =t

12 = t
