With a river, if the stream is straight there will be little difference. If there is a bend, what can you tell me about the speed of the water on the inside and outside of the bend? What effect does this speed have on processes such as erosion and deposition?

Why is the flood plain called a “flood plain”? What happens when the river floods (got something to do with deposition and erosion. What influence does this have on the quality of the soil on the flood plain?
