it would be (r-7)(r+1)

you take two factors of the constant, which is the last number that has no variables, in this case -7. The only two factor are 7 and 1. These two numbers have to add up to the middle number which is -6. Make sure you look at the sign. Because the six is negative, you know the seven has to be negative. So -7+1=-6

YOu can also use the quadratic formula.
