-c+a-b=-3+5-(-9)=-3+5+9=2+9=11

= -3+14
=11

step 1: -c+a-b
step 2: a=5 so -c+5-b
step 3: b=-9 so -c+5-(-9) *two negatives make a postive*
step 4: c=3 so -3+5+9
step 5: your answer is 11
