Remember prime numbers are those numbers whose only factors are 1 and itself. Also, know that 2 is the ONLY positive prime number. This will help you find the prime numbers of any set because you can automatically eliminate even numbers (except 2).

Than it is a matter of thinking each odd number through.

easy to find. When numbers are under 100, just see if they can be divided evenly by these prime numbers (2,3,5,7). If they can not, then they are prime.

must be even to be divisible by 2

must add up to a number divisible by 3 (71 adds up to 8 and is not divisible by 3) (72 adds up to 9 and is divisible by 3.

ends with zero or five to be divisible by 5.

for 7, you just have to try to divide it.
