Does this relate to sociology?
Can I write a response (for sociology class) to an article about a women who was burned by her husband but survived the incident. Does it relate to sociology ?

sure. and why did he do it? does he blame society for making her not like him? did he grow up in an environment where it was considered okay to kill dogs and burn women?

Yes- you can make it relate to sociology by comparing the article to different cases…

if you want to really relate it, try looking at the larger picture… how does the man relate to the woman prior to the incident… what is the set-up of their family… what are, if any, the cases filed against the husband, what is the wife’s perception regarding the violence done against her… what are the other forms of domestic violence? etc. try to look at the power relations at work 😀
