Dividing by 3

Add up all the digits in the number.

Find out what the sum is. If the sum is divisible by 3, so is the number

For example: 12123 (1+2+1+2+3=9) 9 is divisible by 3, therefore 12123 is too!

if you add up all of the numbers in a largre number, and it is divisable by 3 then the whole number is divisable by 3. ex102 1+0+2=3 ex 336, 3+3+6=12 ex 95 9+5=14 which is not divisable by 3 so 3 is not a factor of 95.
