could you possibly show the working for this. would be great. here goes….
y=xsquared – 1 / x cubed.
how do you get rid of the fraction. after that i know what to do.

dy/dx = d/dx(x^2 – (1/x^3)) = d/dx(x^2 + x^(-3)), from there apply the sum rule, then the standard formula for differentiating x^n. That formula works for negative and fractional n as well as positive n!!
