The slope is defined as the change in y divided by the change in x. The change in y is 1-7 = -6, and the change in x is 5-2 = 3, so the slope is
-6/3
= -2.

Hi Carlos, for your problem there’s a simple formula which is this :
m(slope) = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
Here y2=7, y1=1, x2=2, x1=5.
Therefore, slope, m = (7-1)/(2-5) = 6/(-3)
m = (-2)

just do 7-1= 6=y
and 2-5= -3=x
and slope is y/x
