Density Problem Help?

Hi, I have two problems that I am having trouble with. Can someone please help? Thank you!

1) A graduated cylinder contains 20.2 mL of water. What is the new water level after 22.6 g of silver metal with a density of 10.5 g/mL is submerged in the water?

2) A graduated cylinder contains 146 mL of water. A 11.3 g piece of iron (density = 7.86 g/cm3) and a 24.8 g piece of lead (density = 11.3 g/cm3) are added. What is the new water level in the cylinder?

1. 5 inches

2. 30 inches

In both cases however, you simply have cans filled with metal and water. Together they then create the nuclear ingredient known as: heavy water.
