Declaration of independence translation?

Ok so i need to find the dec. of indep. in common english for an assignment…i only need the first two paragraphs…anyone have any ideas?

Sometimes, like, you know, it’s like, necessary for people to like, you know, break up. But, like, I guess respect or whatever means they should like, explain why?

I mean, it’s like, pretty obviously true that all men are equal or whatever; and we’ve all got rights that nobody can take away. The rights are, uhmmm, life, liberty, and trying to be happy. We like, make governments or whatever to get those rights, and the governments get their abilities to do stuff from, like, our permission and whatever. And so, like, when the government starts like, getting in the way of happiness, it’s our right to like, get rid of government and make a better one. that is gonna make us safe and happy. Of course, like, only an idiot would get rid of his government that’s way old or whatever without like, a good reason. Besides, we like all know that people will put up with a whole lot if it means they don’t have to do all the work it takes to make things better. But like, when a lot of totally uncool stuff is done by the government over a long time, then it’s totally important to get rid of it, seriously. Anyway, the King is a righteous jerk. Here’s all my reasons:

The Declaration of Independence – Paragraphs 1 & 2 only.

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. I’ll help you out in your search. There is NO common english translation anywhere. You need to basically summarize it sentence per sentence.

For example: ” When in the course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

Basically translates to: “When situations occur where we as a people need to separate our ties with a nation and recognize ourselves as a seperate entity under the eyes of God…”

Basically Just say what each sentence means, but say it sorta, professionally, like as if you’re reading it in a text-book. Be creative with it, if this is a home-work assignment.. it’s designed to inspire understanding in what you’re reading most likely. Good-luck! :p
