My conclusion for a postive response is that “good manners” are not a waste of time. It is a sound investment for anyone! The reason is that everyone around you is affected by YOUR manners. [Your relatives, friends, neighbors, strangers and your boss and co-workers, for example.] Your “good manners” are going to have a positive influence on each person. What you demonstrate with and by your good manners is your “class” of person by being thoughtful, intelligent, well-mannered and dignified by always using “good manners” as an example to others.

Even when really angry, one can have good manners. How would “Oprah”, “the Queen” of England, other famous people seem if they did not use good manners? Lots of luck with your debate!
